English Pastoral Staff
ENGLISH PASTORAL STAFF
The Pastoral Staff in the English Pastoral Team shepherds the English Congregation of Church of Singapore (Bukit Timah). Together with other members of the English Pastoral Team, he or she ensures the effective running of services and programs, and disciples and provides pastoral care to the English speaking congregation of COSBT with a dedicated team of volunteers.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Saturday & Sunday Celebration Services
Oversee and ensure the effective running of Saturday and Sunday Celebration Services, evangelistic programs and other special events.
To oversee support ministries, including Worship, Ushers, Host, Greeter and Holy Communion, Snack Fellowship teams.
To provide pastoral care to the congregation, including prayer, counselling, follow-up, discipleship, visitation, funeral arrangements and crisis care.
Cell Groups
To provide pastoral care to the members of English cell groups, including prayer, counselling, visitation, funerals and crisis care.
To oversee cell groups assigned under his care and support and equip the cell leaders in leading these group in order to achieve spiritual growth of the members and outreach to pre-believers.
Support other English Pastoral Ministries & Programs
Operational and administrative support for the School of Transformation, including Family Foundation International (FFI) and Nurturing Module (E&C courses).
Support the Young Adults and Youth ministries if necessary.
Support other events including baptisms, funerals, outreaches and mission trips.
Administrative & Operational Support
Provide necessary administrative and operational support for the effective running of the English Pastoral Team.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experiences
A diploma or degree is preferred.
Church volunteer experience is essential.
Theological training is advantageous but not essential.
Skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to lead and manage volunteer teams.
Strong organisational skills are essential for effective management and coordination.
Willingness to commit to serve and grow in COSBT on a long-term basis.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating discretion and sound judgement in decision-making.
Remuneration
Salary commensurate with experience.
