Church of Singapore (Bukit Timah) (COSBT) is looking for a Pastoral Intern (Mandarin) to join our Mandarin Service. This is more than an internship. It is an opportunity to be equipped, mentored, and immersed in the life and ministry of the Church.

You will serve alongside experienced pastors and ministry leaders, journey with people in their faith, and play a meaningful role in building God’s Kingdom. Whether you’re discerning a future in pastoral ministry or seeking to deepen your ministry experience, this internship offers a unique opportunity to grow spiritually, develop practical ministry skills, and make an eternal impact.

This is a 6-month internship programme with the opportunity for conversion to a full-time staff role, subject to performance and ministry suitability.

What You’ll Be Part Of

As a Pastoral Intern, you will have the opportunity to:

• Shepherd and care for the members through pastoral ministry.
• Support discipleship and help members grow in their faith.
• Support outreach initiatives and church-wide events.
• Partner with ministry leaders to strengthen the Mandarin congregation.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Pastoral Care & Discipleship

• Assist in pastoral care and member follow-up.
• Support the Mandarin Nurturing System.
• Support the Mandarin Service Pastor in pastoral and ministry responsibilities.
• Encourage and support cell groups through coordination and leadership assistance.
• Participate in home and hospital visitation, house blessings and bereavement.

Ministry Operations & Outreach

• Assist in coordination of the School of Transformation and its administrative functions.
• Facilitate communication across Mandarin Service ministries and cell groups.
• Support the planning and smooth operation of weekly worship services, outreach initiatives and special events.
• Undertake other ministries and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about Jesus and committed to serving His Church.
• Excited to learn, grow, and be developed for ministry.
• Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin, with basic proficiency in English.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage members from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a ministry setting.
• Prior experience in church ministry or administrative support would be an advantage but unnecessary.
• Willing to serve on weekends and support church events and ministry activities.
